V05 Blow Dry Lotion - Boots £3.29
I'm on a constant quest to find the wonder product that will give me the big hair I crave. I have tried so many different products and so many different brands and while I've found a few products that give me volume, I haven't found one that gives lasting volume. I tend to find that my hair will initially look full but over a few hours it drops right out.
I was browsing the aisles in Boots and saw that Vo5's Plump It Up range was on 2 for £5. Offers like this always grab my attention (I'm terrible I know) and before long I was really intrigued by the products. Vo5 has recently had a re-branding (we've all seen the singing adverts) and they've launched their Plump It Up range which aims to give you big beautiful hair, lasting hold and heat protection from styling products. I decided to pick up the Amplifying Blow Dry Lotion and the Dry Backcombing Spray (review to follow).
I couldn't wait to try this lotion. I had high hopes for it and as shallow as it is I love the packaging. It advertises on the front as having a 'fabulous new fragrance' and I don't know what the old fragrance is like but it smells amazing. I sprayed this through my towel dried hair and I was pleased to find that the spray is light and not at all sticky. I dried my hair like I always do and I noticed the difference straight away. My hair looked thicker while still keeping the smoothness I usually have. I put my hair in rollers after this and I think this lotion helped to give them some grip in my hair.
Two days later I can still feel the texture in my hair and I only have to ruffle it at the roots to bring the volume back. My hair is so long and actually quite fine (I just have a lot of it!) so finding something that holds it is great. I'm so impressed with this product that I can't wait to try some other products from this great range!

I love products like this, big hair is always better :D

I completely agree! :) x
DeleteSalt spray is my favourite go to big hair product. Combining that with a back combing brush and a bit of hairspray. Perfect! I know how I'm doing my hair tomorrow now ;) Thanks ;) I have this as well but I don't actually think that much of it. How many sprays would you say you use?

To be honest I used quite a few sprays right through my hair, I was worried it would overload it but when it was dried it really didn't feel sticky or anything!
DeleteI'm also one of those with lots of fine hair that just dies after about 20 minutes! I have VO5's volume powder which works, definitely gonna give this a try too! x
