Necklace - New Look

I feel like I've been AWOL for ages. I've been moving house and you know how it is, v.v. stressful! Since today is my birthday (yes I'm now 24 :( where are the years going?!) I decided to get dolled up and make the effort. For the past week I've been living in sweats so it felt great to put on a pretty dress and some make up!

I got this dress a few weeks ago in the Simply Be sale. I actually first saw it on a couple of other bloggers and fell in love with it but the £55 price tag wasn't really in reach for me so when I saw it had gone down to £33 I snapped one up! It's such a beautiful dress. Everything about it is perfect. The print is so pretty and the colours are really vibrant. The material is good quality with some stretch ensuring it skims and flatters every body shape. I actually sized down in this and it fits me perfectly. There is also a lovely cut out detail at the top of the back of the dress that I unfortunately didn't get a photo of.

I can't believe that a couple of months ago I would never have even considered shopping at Simply Be and now I don't know where I'd be without some of the great items I've picked up from there! 

I teamed the dress with my spikey necklace to toughen it up. I don't normally wear clothes with such feminine colours and prints so when I first tried this on I wasn't sure, but while wearing it I've had so many compliments so I'm definitely converted! I still added my trusty  leather jacket, brown satchel and slipper pumps when I left the house (old habits die hard and all that) but I'm thinking I'm going to branch out into colours and prints more often.
